This isn’t the book I wanted, which does not make it a bad story at all.
Maybe Seryu comes back? I don’t care to spend the time to find out. Also, reintroducing the demon king when he could have remained defeated was just boring since he wasn’t even a fun villain. I like them, but got enough of them in the first book.
I would rather read about Shiori and Seryu’s quest to return the pearl. I gave it six hours and just don’t care anymore. In a 14 hour book, I would have liked more time spent on it. He was such an interesting and fun character and the Dragon Kingdom seemed cool. And it was spent with Shiori being hostile to him. It’s extremely disappointing that his part in this book was so short and the part that he was in it…he was barely in it. It will take every ounce of strength Shiori can muster to defend the life and the love she's fought so hard to win.
