

Upon graduating from Harding University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Alexander began her business career in Atlanta, Georgia. Much of this decision was attributed to her early advisors, who urged her to choose the profession as it was considered a practical livelihood. After graduating from the Greater Atlanta Christian School in 1979, she began studying business at Harding University.

Much of her childhood was spent writing poetry and short stories, however, she never envisioned pursuing her hobby at the professional level. Some of her awards include the Library Journal Top 5 Best Inspirational books award, the RITA Aware for Best Inspirational Romance, and the Christy Award for Best Historical RomanceShe was born in Decatur, Georgia on August 8th, 1971 to two working parents, a mother who worked as the executive of an insurance company, and a father who managed a bank.
